Water is un-stoppable, especially in tunnels
Traditionally, a tunnel is designed with water proofing membranes to prevent seepage. But no matter how carefully such a membrane has been constructed, it will always fail in some way. History tells us that Water is un-stoppable especially in tunnels.
The inventor of Capiphon™ knows this only too well. Hu Ming Chun (Robert) is a highly qualified and experienced civil engineer specialising in tunnel construction. He invented Capiphon in response to the perennial problem of seepage.
Robert says "During construction, we may embed Capiphon belt under the invert ring segment as a blind trench.
If the tunnel has already been constructed and leakage occurs, we may make drill holes to insert Capiphon pipes to drain the surrounding high water table."
On Closer Inspection
This photo looks dirty and messy but, if you look closely, you can see a large stream of water coming from one of the Capiphon™ pipes.
Robert has recently overseen the installation of Capiphon™ in a successful large-scale project for the ShangHai Municipal Government. The challenge was to over seepage from construction joint in the ShangHai underpass over the Huangpu river. Since completion there has been no sign of any seepage visible. The Municipal Government were very satisfied with the result, and are planning using Capiphon™ to solve many more other leakage problems.
Serious Alternative to Ag Pipe
Ag pipe is also called aggie, agricultural pipe, ag line etc. Capiphon also out-performs slotted pipe.
